Anyone having issues with M8 running questionably between 3000-4250 RMP and having much clutch noise?
New 2016 with less than 10 miles, died 7 times when running between 3000 and 4250 rpms at 6700 elevation. Up to 3000 RPM seems to run ok except for clutch noise. 3000-4250 pretty sketchy if it will run or no either in powder or on hard pack. 4500 clutch noise sounds out of balance. Over 5000 runs great.

check your belt deflection, and when you do that remove the adjusting screw and put a bevel on the end so it doesn't dig into the plate it touches

and check the throttle cable adjustment, the safety switch may be giving you issues

I have had the same issues mine, it was the tss frozen from roll overs get unstuck. Some lock deicer may work, I am testing an idea I have and will post results as I have them. The clutch noise is on most of the team secondary's as the deflection screw chatters during opening and closing. The 2018 have eliminated the noise. The noise does not appear to be causing any damage or shorting belt life, but it sure is irritating. I am working on a cure for that also, looks like i need to get a little more serious.
