I installed the cat tether switch in my 2014 m8000. Model part number says correct one. Followed direction switching the correct wires. sled will start with key fine but tether doesn't kill or stop it from starting and the kill/stop switch doesn't work now either. Any ideas what could be wrong? Also going out Monday think okay to ride like that won't hurt anything?

I would check to make sure the wires that were switch stayed clicked into the connectors. I don't understand why they didn't just make a t-style connector to tap the tether into the wiring.

I dont understand why it doesn't come standard with a tether already.

Ya checked and rechecked. I even took it back out and hooked normal the kill stop still didn't work. Wouldn't be a fuse in line somewhere maybe for kill. To me strange that it starts think it wouldn't if not getting a connection . You got that right can't believe they don't come with

If everything was working good before you played with it, it will most likely be a bad connection or a connector plugged in the wrong location.
Arctic Cat uses an open loop ignition circuit. In other words you only need one switch to open the circuit and your sled will run. OR a wire connection in the wrong place to open the circuit, if that is the case you would not be able to shut it off via tether or kill button. Check your wiring and if that doesn't work get a wiring diagram to help you.
