This might be a stupid question but I have to ask it. I was told that on you secondary clutch your belt should sit just slightly higher than the top of the clutch. On the outside edge of the clutch the belt sits almost perfect but on the inside its quite a bit higher than the clutch. Is this normal?

That is not normal . I would try your spare belt to rule out the belt and get a clutch alignment jig from slp or cutler to check alignment . I would also pull the secondary and inspect it perhaps something is broken . The belt should sit even

Damn I kinda thought it should be the same on both sides. Any ideas on what may be broken or wrong? I will take a look at it tomorrow. By the way is there any chance this issue could be related to a bog I've been having with this sled?

oh ya. definitely could cause a bog if you clutch is not working the way it should . Post up some close up picks and we may be able to see what it the problem.

So I've noticed that both sides of the clutch at the same diameter and that the inside one is smaller that's normal right? Also where I ride out here the elevatonion is only about 650ft and on my driven clutch the spring is yellow and white and it should be orange could this cause issues?

Check the screws holding your helix on.

Yup check those torx head screws on the back of your secondary. They are known to back them selves out. If you take them out do not re use them! I learned this the hard way and it cost me a primary, secondary and diamond drive cover! And not to mention a shameful tow back! Also the rollers on the secondary are know to give problems sometimes. I would replace them with rock rollers.

That's some good advice! I have seen at least 6 m1000 and 8and 7 with broken bolts. I replace mine with a better grade for under $5.

Sent while sitting on the toilet when I should be working!

Well I brought my clutch to the dealer and he tells me its a clutch off a crossfire 700 so there is my problem... The guy I bought the sled from is a low life crook... I found out he needed the clutch off of my sled for a project sled he was building so he threw on random parts on mine...

sorry to hear that. so now you know where you stand. Sad part of it all is your going to buck up and buy a new secondary.

That sucks , make sure when you buy your new clutch you check alignment and offset , there should of been shims behind the clutch but probably not in your case.

Get the BDX secondary. Has a wider bushing in it so it lasts longer. Not too expensive either

I was thinking of going aftermarket but figured I'm only going to own this sled one more season so I went ahead and bought a stock clutch. Still a piss off though... :/
