Yes you have to read the fine print. I'm sure they relish in the fact they were able to dodge the bullet on this claim by using that particular clause. I think the manufacturer would be more receptive in covering warranty than the aftermarket company. We worked on a guys sled where the engine seized and he dropped it off. There was no mention of the warranty not being BRP's at the time of drop off. We tore the motor down to find the crank had seized a bearing. We told the customer and he said he had an aftermarket warranty so we called them to see how we could claim on it for him. They asked us how we knew the crank was seized? We explained we tore it down to find out. They immediately denied the repair saying we have to call for permission to tear down before we can work on it. Long story short they would not change their mind and the guy got screwed over because it was printed in fine print in the guys contract once he found it. Totally felt for the guy.

Have to be very careful when talking to warranty guys.
Easier answer would of been than the engine would not spin over and its just a guess.
Yeah its a totally different policy than BRP's so was very shocked when they told me that. BRP wants to know everything, Buds files, pics, etc before you call them so they can analyze it.
