Ok...I'm tapping out on this Arctic Cat tether install. I've been trying for two hours to get the pins out of the harness connector and no luck. Tried the paper clip...bobby pin and still not releasing. Is there something else holding this wire to the connector that I can't see? It's bad enough a guy has to tear his sled apart to install something that should have been done at the factory...but this is driving to drinking!
Any ideas or suggestions are more than welcome!

thanks in advance

Make sure the paper clip is pushed in fully and then it still takes a a good pull to get the wires out.

I've used a paper clip. Push it in till it bottoms out then a little farther.

Wow...finally got the fricken things out. Had to flatten out the end of paper clip with a hammer and pulled out the white insert that retains all of the wires. You just have to make sure not to move the connector around too much.
A small size note....drill your hole as close to the edge while still allowing enough plastic for the kill switch to attach.

Ok...now I'm totally baffled! Got it all back together following all of the instructions to a fault...fired up the sled...pulled the tether and nothing. Even the kill switch is now disabled...any ideas?

You close to the GBCA? Bring it over and we'll figure it out. Or just drink beer and tear your sled apart. I've done 3 and they all worked fine. Not saying I'm a pro, probably just lucky.

I'll have to rip it apart again and see wtf is going on! Was hoping someone would just pipe in and say something simple to fix this thing. Just can't figure out why a tether wouldn't just be a stock item.
