Hey everyone,

I have a 2013 M1100 turbo I bought brand new 3 years ago. I have a few questions out there for other sled owners. I have noticed that often when I am riding in the mountains and roll the sled over to get unstuck that the oil overflow from the crankcase dumps a fair bit into the engine compartment. Can the hose ends be capped off? Make's sense to me if the overflow hose is capped off the oil still flows into the overflow but not all over your engine compartment and when you are back right side up the oil should flow back down into your crankcase.

If the aftermarket pipe I have an h & m is leaking around the factory weld, so I have a slight exhaust leak. Is it important to re-weld that and seal the exhaust leak?

When you are checking the oil levels in the crankcase and you are looking through the site glasses generally where are they supposed to be filled up to?

How often do most of you guys change oil in the four strokes?

I have been having headlight issues with my m1100 cat. Any one else having these problems. I replaced mine and was riding up the groomed trail and didn't even make it up 14miles when I put the sled in reverse snd something happened with the ecu and it flashed a code and the stupid headlight and high beam quit working

Appreciate all the responses and helpful information
Thanks

Get a roll over valve and hook it up to you tether. Small red light will flash when it is activated.

I il change interval is 2000 miles or seasonal.

Do you have a roll over valve? Can you let me know a little bit more about what that is? I don't have a tether, I have been recently thinking about getting one though. I just run the key in the ignition and the kill switch. Do you have a tether? If so was it hard to install?

Roll over valve on a 4S IMO is needed. If you are Hulk and can flip it over fast and are right there then great but flip it in a coulee or creek bed, garage sale one down a hill or do an half backflip off of something and it will save your butt. I have too many times been upside down and have lost oil. This valve on a tether is activated when a tether us pulled off, closes the valve and kills the sled. I won't ride without one anymore, I have seen some sketchy stuff. Probably alright without a rollover valve if you ride meadows and ditches...mountains no way. Just my $.02. Good investment!
