So have been reading through posts and I"m thinking I'm not the only one, but admittedly I've left it sitting stored for the summer without running it at all. First thought was fuel seeped back from the rail so I jumped the fuel pump, seems to run fine, hoping the rail pressure would come up. No dice.

Checked and cleaned the plugs, good spark. Everything seems to have the right ohm reading...

Dumping a little fuel into the cylinders it fires up no problem and runs 10-15 seconds with light throttle. Every time, it just dies after that.

I'm no expert on these things, so would love some assistance! I see snow on the mountains already so need to be ready.

Well I am no expert and mine is carbed, but I am pretty sure the EFI motors have a TPS sensor problem. I think the sensor tells the ECU where the throttle plate position is. Somebody here must know if I'm on the right track.

My '03 carbed 900 did that to me a couple years ago. It was the pre-filter in the tank was gummed up with gelled fuel.

Unhook the fuel hose at the rail then bump the fuel pump (or give the rope a pull) and see if anything comes out. If you run out or get air in the pump this is how to prime it. Also, when the pump is making pressure you will see a shower of fuel coming out of the regulator at the top of the tank looking through the filler hole. Don't burn your garage down, keep a fire extinguisher handy.
