A bunch of local ( Rocky area) guys are doing an overnight ride to Nordegg starting at the Horburg area. October 24 & 25, spending the night in the Nordegg hotel, in the past there has always been a secure place to park your truck at Horburg (i'm sure this one will be the same). In the past we have met at the Petro-Can restaraunt at somewhere around 7 or 8 am and left shortly after.
As i am not organizing this ride, i don't know everthing but wil post more as i find out.

Ride was all good, we had 17 machines out for the tour a few rhino's tipped over and a quad upsidedown, but no one hurt and no damage to the bikes. The muskeg slowed us all down a little, but most of the fell trees (from the wind storms) had already been cut.

Hadster,

Man i wish I went with you guys. Looks like it was a decent day with a good turn-out. How far did you guys go ??? Horburg to ???? Was there many other people (not part of your group) out there ??? You had a quad go upside down and a rhino tipped over ?? What were you guys doing ??? Is it safe to go with you guys ???? LOL LOL
Are you planning an other outing yet ?? Would sure like to go with a group out to the west country before the weather gets really bad !!!

We went all the way from Horburg to Nordegg and stayed in the hotel overnight (the bar kept most of our cash that evening) and then rode home on Sunday. The Rhino's just tipped over coming up a rough area thru a ravine, not a big deal. The quad upside down was a simple misjudgement (could have been bad, but turned out alright). We only seen a few others out riding on that trip other than our group.
As of right now i have not thought about the next overnight trip, but will probably be out in the area on and off most of the winter working on the trail as long as we don't get too much snow.

If you guys are really wanting to do the trip or mabye half of it let me know when you are thinking and i may be able to show you around.

Sorry for the lack of pictures, i have been out there so much that i didn't think about getting the camera out much, so i geuss i missed some good photos.

I too could help out on the trail, just let me know when you go !! Ridin and work is ok with me. I have used a chainsaw lots and don't mind lending a helping hand. I have a few construction skills as well so if you are doing some building (bridges, etc.) I could help as well.:d

I'll keep you guy's in mind, however many times that i go out to work on the trail is "last minute" and with the distance that you live away, may be difficult to arrange a work bee.
Hopefully we can arrange something, we will see how our timing is i geuss.
