As usual our hobby is under threat this season. As of right now they have banned OHV in all of Alberta with the exception of First Nations & on private land...

The way it was stated it sounds serious....

The one thing I was looking forward to during this quarrantine, was to get out camping on crown land with family and 4 wheeling... This activity gets the whole family outdoors together, and allows us to stay away from other people...

However we have some left-wing liberal douchebag who rides his bike to work every day, making a decision that further restricts our freedom.... Its not like we all pay taxes or anything....

Let alone what this will do to the industry in Alberta, god help you if you have a store selling OHV's...

I will end my rant here, but **** am I angry....

I don't believe it will be "all season" I think this is the normal May fireban/ohv restriction that we've seen for the past several years just put in place earlier. I would not be surprised to see if lifted early June.

Fire ban is normal but the ohv ban is not. Usually they don’t ban ohv till it’s super dry. This is just another way to keep people in doors.

I believe the government is caving to environmental lobby rants and will ban fires and OHV all summer using the COVID-19 as the guise. The government does not want us camping or enjoying crown land unless it is a prescribed area that they can charge us a fee. Registration for our OHV and trailers is not enough for the new regime.

The frustration is understandable but if it keeps first responders or the lack there of from having to go out to rescue some drunk on a quad it's for the best. I'm sure they are just trying to minimize the risk. BC no doubt will follow suit. Probably going to be a lot of bush dwellers out there this year

works for me, on puter? phone no idea.

you should be able to go to where you downloaded your map on govermnt site, there are a series of maps and download this one. this gets specific, looks like atv and campfires are done till june, unless on private land.
