We stopped and seen all the top secret locations along the route that we could. We can't tell you about them without being there in person or we would be required to kill you.
Next time we will wear the official Can-Am riding gear !!

Does anybody have GPS tracks for this ride?

I do someplace.

But since those tracks they have logged.

Last trip we had to go around the logged out areas.

With the logging that has taken place and Misty Valley, what is the best trail to get from the caboos west to Saunders and past to Nordegg?

From the caboose, If we can get down to the river, we should be able to ride along the river through Misty valley. By law, nobody owns the land 150' ? from the waters edge of any body of water. riders can not be stopped from riding along the river. there are trails from the river back up to the railway line on he west side of Misty valley and into Saunders.

We drove slow thru Misty Valley. Cut across a cut block. That sucked. Then the swamp and go

We rode the Saunders Alexo area this weekend. Had no idea where we were going, just followed what appeared to be heavily used trails.
we did find an old railway track just south of Alexo, I'm guessing it would take you to nordegg if you follow it???

Really liked the spot, hoping to return. only carnage was a polaris 800 broke an axel and my RSX850i bent a tie rod.

If you take the right trail you come out at harlick campground, then you either ditch ride to shunda creek, or take the trail on the north side of the road

Problem is the trail has a few deep creek crossings that suck, used to be bridges made over them which was sweet, but government took them out ( dumb azzes)

Then from shunda creek your on the south side if the road past gravel pit and train tressel bridges and come out up the hill in nordegg

One September me and a buddy went from horberg to nordegg in 4.5 hours, had some frost so it was easy on the swampy spots to keep going

A large part has been logged also. Last year when we did the ride Hadster and I had a hard time finding the trail due to logging.

Still a a fantastic trip with a stay at Nordegg
