What kind of riding is this rally and approx distance. Wouldn't mind trying one of these. I've only run sled rallys and that was many years ago.

It's a moderate ride. This year we'll have an easy way in the beginning that will miss all the water but if you've been there last year we'll still have the water for you. Cleaning up last years quad rally there was always a way around the hard parts. It was pretty cool to see new trails made for the easy way. Hope to see everyone there.

So snorkels are not required then? From all the video they look like they are.

If its the same route as last year I recommend Snorkels but you can still make it if you don't have them. I recommend trying to get out early, if someone breaks the beaver dams before you get to them it makes it a lot more difficult

Would you be able to make it through with a sport quad?

Not easily. There are a few pinch points where the line-ups can get very long, the beaver dam being the biggest - it can be hard enough to get through there with 30's on.

Agreed. Saw a ds650 make it too a least half way last year, but he did a lot of winching. There was a local on a dirt bike but he knew where to go to get around all the nasty spots.

Ok, I have a brute force 750 myself but my buddy rides a sport quad. I have never been to a rally and he's the only one with a quad besides me. That being said I don't have snorkels either; I don't mind getting a little dirty but I don't like to swim with my quad either. Do you require a snorkel there? Thanks a lot for your info.

I'm sure you'll be fine without snorkels, this year especially. There's just a few spots where you can have more fun playing if you do.

I hope I don't jinx it but I hope the weather is exactly like today on the 30th. And holy man 12 more days.

You mean to say there is a town called Goodfish lake, AB with a cultural centre? I don't see that on google maps or anywhere for that matter.
