Stanger Hills Staging Area in Lac St Anne County, part of the Alberta Beach Snowmobile Clubs trail system will be the place to be for Newbie Day in Alberta Beach, AB. Grab your gear and your newbie and meet in the staging area at 10am. From there we'll head out on a trail ride exposing you to the beauty of our newest trail section & teach you basics of trail etiquette and snowmobile usage & safety. We will make a stop off for lunch at one of the picnic areas as well. Demo sleds, beacon basics, as well as further rides with smaller group rides for further introduction will take place back at the staging area. All is geared to give a new rider a bit of a glimpse into why we love snowmobiling so much!

For anyone requiring a snowmobile, please contact us as we do have approximately 4-6 machines that will be available to use thanks to our wonderful sponsors. Accommodations if required are available in Alberta Beach, Onoway, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove or Edmonton.

As we want to do our best to accommodate the people attending, please shoot us a message to let us know you're coming or post on our Facebook page. Anyone who isn't a new rider is welcome to participate as a helper as we work towards providing a great day for new riders in hopes to see them out riding on their own be it as a “trail rider” or a “mountain rider”

Hope to see you there!

PM Myself or PowderGirl for more information.

We have now confirmed that Cycle Works West will be out there with a few new Pro Demo's for people to try out. As well, Ecko Marine (Alberta Beach) has stepped up to sponsor the lunch stop! Huge thanks to both of these companies.

This is a great opportunity for people who's family members have never ridden but want to try it out in a safe and controlled atmosphere. Hopefully we'll get some fresh snow before this event and we'll be able to make the best of it!

was good ride, should have brought my VW though, would have stereo to listen too. trails were too smooth for snowmobiling, never been on a smoother trail in my life.,.great for families and old farts like me with bad backs, usually I have trouble walking the next day after riding, but not this week, Going from a newer 800 Polaris back to a 92 is hard, miss the suspension and reverse.my Brother Geroge got to ride a new 600 Ski Doo and his back was fine too, after the 96 AC he usually rides.I am highly recommending this trail to familes with 2 up sleds and pulling slieghs..

picture is of my Brother George ( MLA ) on right in my orange suit, and the county councillers on left and Marvin the owner of Echo Marine who brought 4 Ski Doos for them to use, also Cycle Works brought 4 new Polaris,s for people to use too.He wanted to trade a new 800 for my 92,but said no.? he said my 92 would look good in his showroom,

Alberta Beach Snowmobile Club for the use of the trails and the trail passes. Kaz and TylerG for getting the lunch set up and then the prizes. Big thank you to the MLA's and Councillors for coming out and seeing what there support allows us to accomplish. Of course all the Newbies that gave this sport a try and came out loving it! All the riders had big smiles on there face and met fellow riders in there area.
