Been thinking of moving my battery down in front of my can. I may have missed it somewhere in here but don’t recall anyone mentioning a kit to do this. Does one exist? If not I’m going to make one and do this.

I've yet to come across a kit. I think most people just pull the wiring from the stock location, and re-route & shorten as needed.

If i found someone willing to trade seats and tanks, i would do the same.

I thought I saw that Cat sells an aftermarket seat that is taller but the back end is hard like the rest of the seat not soft. Not sure if it’s shorter.
I’m going to peel the seat off and have a look to see if I can repurpose any of what’s currently used to hold the battery in and then go from there. Worst case Ontario I have to buy or build my own battery securement setup. Wiring shouldn’t be an issue.

Fits 6/8000 non-electric start models with a short tank and seat.

Not sure if it will fit the long tank and just leave the battery compartment exposed, or if there are other fitment issues.

Says it fits e-start models. I found a thread on snowest where buddy did the swap and moved his battery.

Have a link to that thread? I'm curious how it looks.

Been searching like crazy and even went through my history and I can’t find it now. He had a red alpha and the new seat frame is exposed and was green so he painted it red. Looked pretty deadly. Wish I could find it. The lower half of the tank is exposed as is the battery mounting spot with this seat setup.
