Hey everyone. Looking for a little help on clutch weights. Going for my first mountain ride to Mcbride in December. What size of clutch weights does everyone recommend for there (5000 - 7000 elevation I'm told). 800 Riot X with 2.5" track
Also looking at the Dalton adjustable weights, does anyone recommend?

The Alpha uses 0646-905 and the Riot has 0646-907 listed. The Alpha will be around 68 grams of weight. I would check with your dealer how your machine is set up. I am not sure what the Riot comes set for elevation. It may be fine the way it is, maybe not perfect but being your first time to the Mountains it may work good enough. Just checked and according to the parts book the helix and secondary spring are different from the Alpha also. It may be fine as you have a smaller track to turn i am just not sure hence the dealer. They should know what is required for that elevation. If you need a dealer that can help try Central Sled in Wetaskiwin.

lot's of ways to skin a cat but certainly the most straightforward is to clutch it how Cat does from the factory for high elevation. I think the stock Cat clutching is very good but I am looking at adding the Dalton weights to my Alpha to help dial in the clutching with some power I am looking to add this year. My dealer is top notch and recommends the Daltons.

Anyone know what stocks weights are in an 18 m8000 162 or 153? I bought a slightly used 18 and it has 70gr weights in it and the guy has a brand new set of 72 gram weights in the seat bag. My 16 stock was 68 if I remember correctly. Thanks
