Riding a 18 162 cat and it has the plug and play cat tether installed. Typically on first fire up the sled will start right up. Then through the day on start up randomnly the sled with start run for 1-2 seconds then shut off, it will do this until you unplug tether and reseat it. Maybe 1-3 times it will have to be unplugged and reset, sometimes I have to do it 2x to get it to work. I took the electrical plug off the back and put grease in it, didnt make any difference. It is odd because if the sled fires up and runs it never misses a beat, it is only at start up do I have to mess with it.

Now that it is home I will unplug it and do a few ditch runs and see if it will act up. Wondering if anyone else has figured this issue out.

Getting old dont need an extra 30 pulls in day. Otherwise the sled is blast, those shocks are like cheating.

Larger black I think Magnetic one.

I will unhook it and if problem goes away just buy a new one. I was just curious if this is a common problem. Only does it on random start up. It never does it once running seems so odd.

If it does it while unplugged, your stator might be going.

I would for sure try that it takes 10 seconds to unplug easy access.
