But there engineered with a air flow calibration when the fuel map is made, and now ya changed that

Just saying that a system without a maf has no idea of the air flow change and doesn't adjust

Hate for ya to blow up another engine

I’ll be alright Jeff! Mayb this is why everyone’s turbos always blow up? Think about how many turbos use a modified airbox, or run a straight through intake right off the inlet

I’m pretty sure even if I am a tad bit lean this way which you could very well be right Mayb that’s why they run so good like this at the end of the day I’m still going to be more reliable then running the stock airbox with no silicone and taking on cool wet shots of powder 10 times a day

So could a guy who did not want to do all this cutting and hacking just seal up the outside seams with silicone and it would be good or no?

Yes absolutely! The front nose cone is of the most concern not so much the middle plenum, as the plenum is up inside the hood and isn’t exposed to direct snow. The front nose cone is exposed to direct snow and is very easy to seal, just simply take your hood off, take the front nose cone off and seal it up, put it all back together. 15 min job. I just took things to the extreme.

Next up for SlimeR was to install the Specialty Motorsports Belt Drive that showed up the other day. I was super impressed with the packaging and quality of parts inside. Highly recommend this kit for anyone on the fence on doing a belt drive. The instructions are very detailed for those who like to follow instructions. I grazed through the instructions but didn’t really follow them ended up doing things a little differently. Install went super smooth and was very happy with the end result

I pulled out some more foam again this foam is used for sound dampening just like the last stuff...I pulled it out because I find it gets saturated in oil and water and just makes a mess not because I wanted to save weight
