What is this airbox silicone required deal you speak of?

Thanks folks.
I’ve got Mountain Addiction rails I never used so was going to buy the combo gas can/bag setup so I probably should install something stiffenerish. Was watching a couple videos of guys installing them and bumpers and the tunnels look pretty flimsy compared to what I’m used to (Doo).

CR stuff seems ok. Anyone know what the difference is between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 rear bumpers are? I see they have the Gen 1’s on sale.

I’m going to ride it first before I decide if I need boards.

Dealer was trying to sell me an MBRP can. Not sure how they compare to others out there. My experience with them has been so-so.

Gen I bumpers are sold out already. The new Gen II bumpers will be released at the Edmonton show, we added more support in the area that buckles in between the board mount and front section, and added internal bracing.

We have new boards coming as well, and I highly recommend boards on the alpha, the stock boards are nothing to write home about.

They went back to the thicker tunnel material from 17 and older. Likely won’t really need to stiffen anything,,,,, but might not hurt. Especially if you ever have to tow a sled.

I should add, when I got my 18MC I threw the fancy cat boards on that look like poo boards and my buddy put BDX Ascenders on his 18. They both worked well at letting snow drop through, however my peeve with add on boards is the junction from the horizontal board to where it meets the tunnel. If you have any edges or angles here it is a spot for ice to grab hold then build up snow/ice. The BDX boards have a portion at a 45 which helps make a nice transition from flat to vertical and worked way better at preventing that buildup than what I had. The stock tunnel/board transition is a nice big radius which is really good at resisting that buildup. Quite often when riding with guys who had stock boards mine were not really that much better because of the board to tunnel transition buildup. Certainly not $500 better, would have been better spent elsewhere.

I found myself self wishing I had of just left them stock or wanting the Ascenders.

BDX boards stay clean all day. This is after a full day of riding. With the angle along the tunnel the snow slides off and never builds up.

Mayb it’s just the picture, but do those boards not sit flush against the suspension bracket? Looks like you have a pretty big gap in between the bracket and the board? What keeps them secured? I do not see any bolts or rivets holding them down...also what is going on with the stirrup location? Looks pretty difficult to get your foot in their or even worse looks like if you do get it in there it would get stuck?

The BDX are solid and work great - they are one step up from the Cat boards you can get that ae similar except for the front s more open on the BDX.
The Cat boars will trap a bit of sow up front where the BBX trap none on either warm of cold days.
BDX boards are great if you are going to go to a belt rive.

CR boards are OKish also....lol

Something like that lol would you like to purchase a set of boards?

No I inquired about when you posted about the rear bumper and tunnel support post 5

Rear bumper / tunnel kit is a must have...if your coming to the Edmonton show get your order in now

https://crracingcanada.com/products...8&_sid=f889973e2&_ss=r&variant=19749328781423

My post 24 also examples this, I was wanting a set for my Polaris,.. CR doesn't return emails, I can't get a answer whether you are or sell CR products.

Why is it so hard to get a straight answer :dunno: I'll just go buy a different product at the sled show.
