Gonna be a cool sled. I bought a Prolite in 2014 , gonna sell it this year. Just some comments, totally love the BDX front end, huge improvement over Cat spindles , the bumper and hood really impressed, running boards are the best I've ever had literally no snow ever and holds boots well, brake rotor unnoticeable, absolutely hated the seat and trail tank combo , seat was horrible , it's long gone. Mine was an 800 when I bought it , now is 925 , had Jaws pipe on both. Really enjoyed the sled, gonna put it for sale shortly. The whole advertised BDX lightweight features, meh , buddy and I both bought same sled same year and we did weigh off that year , they were a few lbs lighter than the Cat , 30 ish lighter than that years summit , and actually heavier than the Pro that year, all same featured. Biggest improvement I think you'll notice is the front end . Can't say I've been thrilled with the no headlight , light bar thing , wouldn't do that again. But I bet that'll be a hell of a fun sled.

Yes the seat will work if you have the electric start model

It wouldn't fit the 2014 , I tried both of the stock style seats on that tank , wouldn't fit. Because i couldn't make it fit , and I disliked that seat so much I sold them together and put on a stock tank and seat. But if it works now , and you like that seat that's great.

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
Have you considered an stm clutch? It’s a three roller clutch which is a copy of the mid 90’s Cat model. No two roller clutch will touch it. There are two models, one with reverse and one without. The one without reverse is the second best clutch in the world, next to the Paragon. Run the light pressure yellow spring with the lightest primary spring and lightest weights to match. All the old guys who know, run this combo. Not saying you need to do this but the info is there now if you need it. The stm model will bolt right up to the stock shaft. If you lower the gear as much as humanly possible, it will go twice as good as a stock alpha. You will blow Big Benny out of the snow with that combo! Hi Benny!
