It’s not lack of oil. It’s an intake that inhales massive amounts of snow and moisture.

dId you silicone yours? Stupid you have to do that to a new sled, but apparently that helps with the snow injestion.

Yup, you can do all that stuff and it does help a bit. You have a hot ass pipe right below it and the snow sits on top like a dinner table. Not sure what they were thinking on that one.

3000 km and no issues with mine, sealed up the top gaps, put the mountain fit defender in and have never siliconed the nose and have a nice dry intake every time, not sure what everyone is screwing up its not rocket appliances. Not the best design either but i have no issues

Greased the seal on mine, sealed up the airbox and no moisture at all in mine. Not even belt dust.
Oil consumption seems low though imo.

Mine had a bit of snow ingestion but I sealed up 4 spots in the hood and greased the seal and it is good now. Smashed my Cat mtn bumper Saturday though and had to half pull it off to get the airbox to seal. Stock bumper went back on for Sunday.

Alberta cycle is good service. But I use dons speed the most. When my primary cracked they shipped me one the next day.

Ya Ive been buying at dons for a lot of years now, they always treat me good, Shane is the best salesman going and is kinda the jack of all trades there, any issue Ive ever had has been dealt with pronto and warranty stuff usually take my word on it and ship me the replacement parts if time is tight before the next ride. If I have time I drive out there and go for lunch and beers while they work on my sled. My sled has never even had to spend a night there always in and out same day

Argyll Motorsports will be next to close it's doors. On another note I see Cycle works owned Scona Cycle Honda on Whyte is closed and relocated to their Acheson location.
