Are they trying to patent the snowmobile?

Noticed the drawings show a belt drive.....

Yes it is. My personnal opinion.. I like my brake mechanically attached to the drive of the track and not through the chaincase or belt drive. I witnessed the aftermath of a poo pro braking his belt ( as rare as it is) navigating a steep downhill through the trees. Rider bailed due to not being able to scrub any speed. Sled was heavily damaged once it tagged a nice pine that didn't give.

Thats true, the part that it's pretty rare. I've seen more people wreck sleds do to their own dooing though... so i'm not sure the Id say braking through a chain/belt is bad thing, or even worth worrying about.
