If anyone tests Alpha clutching in Vale or Revy then that clutch kit will have some sled cred. If ya buy a clutch kit that hasn’t been proven where you ride, it’s gonna suck ass.

Well there's some time ill never get back.....
Well finally did some side by side testing of my Alpha against my brothers new 19 doo yesterday at Renshaw. 165 vs 165.
150yd uphill pull that was run three times.
The Alpha edged out the doo on each run.
Only by a few sled lengths.
Both sleds close as expected.
Drivers were both in same weight range.
Video taken by one of our group, may post later.
Cat has about 20 kph top end advantage on trail.
Need to gear down cat as 130 kph more than I need on trail.
Would help Cat get out of the hole even harder.
About 1300km on Alpha and it is still purring along smoothly and had a other great wknd on it.
Everyone in group had a turn on sled and all liked it except my brother - thought steeing to heavy.
All others really impressed again!

2012-2014 cat skis fixes the heavy steering big time. They are great for down hill turns also. Was less feed back

I thought the steering felt great compared to my 15
Thanks for posting.
The whole Alpha package with that little 152hp 800 is an over achiever as shown.
Totally happy with this first year sled.....a kazillion times better than that other first year sled I had in 17.

Doo=out engineered by Cat. Bahahahaha. I told ya Doo engineers are useless. Btw-one of those head engineers left "mid g4" debacle to pursue a career in a different field. Translation-I believe he ruined his career and the Doo name. You could say he accomplished the impossible in three short years.
Doo now has egg on face. Haha

We are not slamming doo with the videos. The two were close.
Just out having fun.
Doo does have its good points on engineering like Shot.
That is slick.
But the Cat is doing everything as advertised.
Other than marketing an 800 against two 850s Cat really does not "need" an 850.
As in 19 the MY 20 sleds will all rip!
But it was nice to beat the Doo.

I'm definately slamming Doo. I watched Doo suck my friends into the false advertising(maintenence free bs, less oil use bs) and then have their sleds down for three weeks/year or more. I watched so many peeps spend money on clutching, "wear items" etc and that made me ill.
