Mines been flawless except yesterday the double lock nutz on the drive shaft were came off and were getting chewed up by my brake disk. 1/2 hr fix. Can’t believe the drive shaft stayed on and didn’t walk out the chain case cover. Maybe something for others to keep an eye on

I rode my buddys Alpha a couple weeks ago . I'm a doo guy on an old xm. All I can say is that the Alpha rocks . It is really nice and amazing in the deep stuff . Now I never compared it too a 850 gen4 . Another thing that is amazing is how little snow collects on the tunnel compared too our doos and poos. so your always 40 -50 lbs lighter . Artic Cat is on too something good here and hats off to them . I hope it makes the Industry move forward and only get better . Competition is healthy for everyone.

I’ve also been on an XM since 15 and my feelings are mutual. The Alpha is a good machine. I am very seriously considering jumping the fence for my next sled.

Well since new fuel pump 5 days and no issues... Unfortunately they have never found or diagnosed why my sled was cutting out first day (seemed electrical). Other than that its been great and a lot of fun. Heading to Revy for another 4 days this week so gonna ride it one day and 3 on sidewinder missing the power. I can honestly say now with +800km on the Cat it I really like it.... that being said any new sled these days are amazing. I know this not the place for it but I give it to polaris on the 850 it's pretty impressive.

CR Racing makes a much stronger drop bracket, I have them on my 16' to prevent this

Yes this would be a soloution but in all the tunnel fails the tunnels are bent up.
How do you bend a tunnel up in front of the bracket without flipping it over backwards or 3 tough guys lift it up to create the same affect???
I posted in another area how to apply some cheap preventative measures if you are going to pound your sled.
Take a piece of 1.5x1.5x3/32 aluminum angle and pop rivet this to the top inside of tummel.
Use black SS rivets and it will be unnoticable.
I said a 16" piece center front to back over the problem area but 36" would also work.
There is room in the tunnel jut round off all edges so nothing is cutting up top edge of lugs.
Very simple fix for those concerned.

Just strange that tunnels are bending up, overloaded would bend down. Strange....

great photo they used. their marketing could use some work.
Its far better than the year somebody had the ice block melting away from the sled so you could see a little bit every day. Actually Skidoo has the best reveals of new sleds. They let magazines leak them accidentally every year. HaHa!
