Im thinking of doing the same thing ! Its like $220 for the full skid plate and looks to be fairly solid!

Mine was part of the sled deal.
Regular 1/4" stuff so should take a fair hit and flex.
No flex in metal.
Just impact shock bending metal to its new fixed position.
That's why I went full plastic skid.

Everyone call Carbon Sled and tell them you want a carbon fiber chain case guard and break guard.
I will go in on the group buy.

The install should be the same as my 18 Sidewinder, I installed the skid plate over the factory guard.

Yep its meant to fit over top, so its basically a double protection, it took some good hits last year and didnt effect the chaincase at all. Now ive solved the problem entirely with belt drive and after the first few days of the year with it I can say its definitely worth it

I made my own from.steel last year, but left it on my 18 when I sold it. This year I bought the full skid plate. It seams to work well.
