I really like how my 16 is set up and riding now but I cant wait to throw my leg over an 18 this year... Sounds like they nailed the new engine and chassis.

I was kinda in the same boat, had a real good 14 m8000 with a ton into it that worked flawless and thought one more year and Id get a new one. And then with a week to go on the snochecks I said screw it, those early releases were working so good and everyone was raving about them so I had to have one. Went and picked it up last week and instantly knew it was the right decision

I was was going to wait another year, but was picking up some parts for the sled and they had the new ones in the showroom.

Couldn't stop myself so guess I will be riding a new sled this year.

Nice sleds!, I have the 2018 Belt drive kits coming in from Tom at TKI so if you guys decide you want to drop a few pounds it is a great way to start.

I will be taking home my new 18 Ascender Cat Saturday.
Really looking forward to the season with some anticipation, as two of my riding friends will be on the Sidewinder this year.

Wont rev over 6000 for the first bit, like less than an hour from what im told, then opens up but stays in break in mode until 6 hrs, adding extra fuel and oil, after 6 hrs its all good

anybody ride there’s yet, found the Engine wont rev was told this is normal for the first 6 hours.

Rode mine on Oct 27th in Lucille, if it doesn't Rev initially means the dealer hasn't put in the PIN. Then the first 20min the engine doesn't Rev over 6300-6500rpm and it truly is a pain in ass but i think its a good idea, as soon as the engine hits that RPM it seems to put a pile of fuel to it and it just stutters. When the 20 min are done it just comes on with out warning so one time you push the throttle it stutters the next away you go!! I put a couple of hours on mine and you can tell it is still over fuelling or something on the top. Then of what i read in the manual after the 6hours are up it opens up again, looking forward to that because it feel strong bottom and mid as it is!! Ive been away from Cat since 2013, what a huge difference!!
