hey eveyone, hope you can help me...

i was driving my 2004 kawasaki 700 and noticed a weird smell and blue smoke coming out from right underneath the handlebars casing. when i turned off the quad to inspect it i noticed a green, milky liquid leaking out from underneath. to the touch it feels rather thick and oily. any ideas what this could be??

the only thing i should add was that my quad has been out in the pouring rain for the last 3 hours and i was driving in the rain too... if that has anything to do with it?

tomorrow am i'll pull the casing off for a closer look, but thought i'd ask in the forum to see if anyone's experienced this... thanks!

thanks for the quick reply... i talked to a friend who said if my rad cap is loose it could be spilling fluid over, and that stuff gets so hot that when it starts to bubble it turns a little milky in texture... i'm a rookie, just bought the quad and am trying to find in google exactly where that rad cap is!

better to have leaking from your handlebars than your private parts.

You should taste it to find out what it is.

The front and rear diffs are vented in the handle bars, few things have happened, either you have a seal leaking and 1 of the diffs if overflowing there or you blew a diff bearing and the oil boiled onto your lap the rear diff has a break inside the diff and if you drove with it on you may have boiled over that way, i would do a diff oil change but be carefull of the oil you use , front diff uses kawasaki engine oil and the rear diff is a special oil i think its called tdh from kawi aswell i have alot of experiance with the diffs of these bikes so anyquestions pm me
