Got a new fuel pump from NAPA and gonna put it in and hopefully it solves the problem.
Before it would run good for about 2-3hours then it would act like it was out of fuel. The pump would sound really weak when it was priming and it would start for about 10-15minutes.
Is there anyway the dealer can get the exhaust temp lowered by hooking it up to computer as well? also to note my machine has never had the Polaris Megashield they came out with a few years ago to stop the melting plastic Part# 2876773
i will get pics of it this afternoon to share, all that i can see for shields are too little ones and a bunch of tin foil stuff on the under side of the fenders that have started to melt as well
:realmad:I have gone through 2 sets of rear fenders already, and now the 3rd one is starting to melt again at the seat, and right along where the exhaust goes. Its on 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500. My dealer has fixed it the last 2 times and still hasnt put the proper shields on
How long does it take to get the TPS checked and fixed? mine needs set, i was out riding today for about 2 hours and after it got warm it just wanted to shut down and not run properly. After sitting for a while it fired back up and ran good for the rest of the trip.
There is gonna be a enlcosed trailer setup at Wal-Mart in Lloydminster from 6-9pm. Collecting- pillows, medical supplies etc. Look for the Auburn ATV/Snowmobile Rentals trailer. Call 780-872-0750 for more info
Sorry to bring up an old post but having this exact problem when the machine gets warm, where abouts would i find the TPS wiring to see if has been rubbed thru?
